Dr. Mehan obtained his undergraduate medical degree at the University of NSW (UNSW) in 2009. Dr. Mehan completed his specialist Urology training in Australia across multiple hospitals in NSW and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in 2018. He then completed a prestigious 2-year fellowship in robotic surgery and laser prostate enucleation (HoLEP) at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital in London. Dr. Mehan worked alongside world experts to gain the latest techniques in robotic surgery and laser prostate enucleation.
Dr. Mehan has a strong research interest and is a member of the Nepean Urology Research Group (NURG). His research interests include focal therapy, salvage radical prostatectomy, and Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate. He was an investigator on the first in-human trial of ProFocal laser therapy for clinically localised prostate cancer at Nepean Hospital.
