Dr. Mehan’s completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2009. He completed his specialist urology training across several hospitals in New South Wales, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in 2018. This was followed by a prestigious two-year fellowship in robotic surgery and HoLEP at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, where he trained alongside leading experts in the field.
As a member of the Nepean Urology Research Group (NURG), Dr. Mehan is dedicated to advancing the understanding of prostate cancer treatments. Dr. Mehan was a key investigator in the pioneering first-in-human trial for interstitial cooled laser prostate ablation at Nepean Hospital. His ongoing research efforts focus on improving prostate cancer treatments, including focal therapy and salvage radical prostatectomy.
